How it works

A defined process, agreed in writing before we begin.

Every engagement follows the same six steps. Scope and data arrangements are settled first, so expectations are clear on both sides.

  1. 1

    Define the scope

Agree on the control area, review period, transaction population, deliverables and the responsibilities of each party.

  2. 2

    Establish data arrangements

Agree on authorized data access, transfer method, confidentiality terms and processing requirements before any records are shared.

  3. 3

    Conduct the review

Apply the agreed control tests to the defined population and identify potential exceptions.

  4. 4

    Validate and resolve

Provide exceptions for appropriate management review, clarification and corrective action.

  5. 5

    Independently verify

Re-test selected items and assess the evidence that corrective action has been taken and is operating.

  6. 6

    Report

Provide a concise management report showing the review scope, findings, resolution status and outstanding matters.

Where we fit

An additional layer, not a replacement.

Your finance department

We add review capacity and independent testing. Your team retains ownership of records, decisions and corrective action.

Your external auditors

We do not perform statutory audits or issue audit opinions. Our work is intended to support management's own oversight and audit readiness.

Your accounting consultants

We do not replace advisory or bookkeeping support. We verify whether the controls around it are operating as intended.

Start with one control area.

A narrowly scoped pilot is the simplest way to evaluate whether independent verification is useful to your organization.
